General question i'm stuck !!! unit 66 outcome 4

can anyone help ?
i'm unsure what to write about in unit 66 outcome 4;1 explain how to promote children's health and well being in an early years work setting.

i have got the Penny Tassoni book, i can write about the physical activities, fresh air and light, diet, temp,, clothing, stimulation, rest and sleep but then i goes on about how much sleep, timing of naps, preventing cot deaths etc.... do i need to write about all that ? it's all aiming towards looking after babies, i work with 6/7 years olds will i still have to write about this ?

Hi Vickie - I also queried writing about early years as I work in a primary school with 5 - 7 year olds - my tutor advised me that we have to have this knowledge as the diploma is for 0 - 19 years. as the question is worded in an early years setting I would say the answer is yes - you would have to. but speak to your tutor - they may have set you the wrong assignment - some are worded early years setting and young children some are worded children and young people - which would cover your age experience.
hope this helps

i know it's confusing lol my assessor comes on Monday but i wanted to have finished it all by then. Then i can focus on the extra units i need to do, because i have to be finished by end of Novemeber due to lack of funding that just adds extra stress. i think i will just do it and get it over with lol
