Default transitions

one transition could be nursery to school

from one nursery room to another

Effect on development could be anxiety, clinginess, regression, illness. withdrawal etc

Key worker could be the one who provides a positive relationship with child

Hope this helps

Hi, the search page will help with threads for transitions - search

Types of transitions are listed in the cwdc's unit as:
022 or CYP 3.1 CYPW unit

5.1 Types of transitions including:
• emotional, affected by personal experience e.g. bereavement, entering/ leaving care
• physical e.g. moving to a new educational establishment, a new home/locality, from one activity to another
• physiological e.g. puberty, long term medical conditions
• intellectual e.g. moving from pre school to primary to post primary

Download all unit pdfs in zipped files at the foot of this archived CWDC page
