Default Big Toddle for Barnardo's

We have taken part in this for the past two years and have had a great response from local parents. In our first year we raised £500 and this year we raised just over £1000

The best thing about it, is that you can keep 25% of the money you raise and spend it on equipment for your own setting. (we are a private business however so feel it's more appropriate to donate our 25% to local charities) but Barnardo's are happy either way.

It's basically a sponsored half mile 'toddle' for the under 5's and when you register with Barnardo's they send you a pack with posters, stickers, hats, envelopes, and certificates for the children. Plus safety tips and marketing advice (including a press release!)

It normally takes part in June (weather usually pretty good) and we have organised nature trails, face painting and ice-cream vans for our event.

More information can be found at www.barnardos.org.uk

Happy Toddling!

Biggrin

Thanks for this post Musicbugs, I was already committed to a charity walk this year so I didn't feel I could ask my friends and family for more sponsorship! I'm hoping to do next years toddle with my daughter, so this site is great!
