if you havnt got the childrens care learning and development book nvq 3 by penny tassoni.you should get it .all your answers are in there.unit by unit..you can access most pages by doing an online book search. type in the book and author into your search engine. the book you need is red with a boy building bricks.by doing this you will be able to see, on the computer, most of the pages.in one of the corners of the page you will be able to type in the unit you want to see and the pages will be displayed.

the WHYS are the most important part of a level 3 so i would say pretty deep! as a level 2 you do what your told you dont have to make decisions or understand the reasoning. as a level 3 not only do you need to understand and explain to parents colleagues and ofsted why you do things you also have to organise plan and asses the whys. so yes they re very very important! knowing the theory is the answer to everything at level 3
