Notebook Rhyming Lines For Phonics

I've put together a few rhyming lines for phonics. Use on friezes, posters etc, mix and match as necessary. I've slipped in a few silly ones to get the imaginations going.

The duck said “quack”, so I said it back.
The little lamb liked sticky jam.
I saw a shark play in the park.
The sheep said “baa” when it saw a star.
I like to play all of the day.
I’d like to sail next to a whale.
I sit in a chair and comb my hair.
I met a fairy, her name is Mary.
I’d like to get a cuddly pet.
Fill your belly with wobbly jelly.
I saw a bee sailing on the sea.
Give a cheer for the seaside pier.
My uncle’s beard is a little bit weird.
My cat will purr and clean her fur.
I think I heard a tweeting bird.
I saw a pig wear a curly wig.
The warty witch lives in a ditch.
I’d love to try some apple pie.
The crocodile has a toothy smile.
The great big ox spoke to the fox.
I had a wash in orange squash.
I said “hello” to the Eskimo.
I met a pony, his name is Tony.
The tiny mouse had a lovely house.
The thundercloud was very loud.
A dinosaur knocked on my door.
The unicorn played on my lawn.
The little boy had a new toy.
I wrapped some soil in shiny foil.
I tried to put a hat on my foot.
Bluebell wood is rather good.
The ladybug laid on a rug.
I helped my mum bang on a drum.
The kangaroo lived in a zoo.
The little newt could play the flute.
We took a tour upon the moor.
Dad was furious as I was curious.
