Hi these two criteria relate directly to your setting & its connections.

What does the planning cycle look like in your setting? record keeping/development trackers/continuous provision/children's individual activity plans?

Language, literacy and communication links to holistic development through play, reading and writing, social development, cognitive development & memory, and behaviour. What activities happen to support each child and takes their learning needs into account?

for 4.3 what training or workshops are available to you? Does the Local Authority arrange any, do you have meetings with senior members of staff who help you learn about these areas?

Page 298 of this handbook might be useful reading

Hth, welcome to the site :) xx

Hi page 299 and 300 of the level 3 handbook goes into greater detail for each of these areas of children's holistic development.

If you think about how language is involved in each of the 'situations' you'll see how it links/is involved with children's overall development.

Quote:
Play is important for children. it provides pleasure as well helping them to learn and socialise. As children's language develops, so too does the ay that they play. Play becomes more cooperative, complex and imaginative. Communication also plays a large part in playing with others, so again supporting children's communication and language helps their play.

Best wishes
