Firstly identify the 5 senses
Sight
Hearing
Toch
Taste
Smell
Then think of how you might stimulate each sense, for example hearing . An activity might be music,
Taste could be a tasting session of various foods sweet, sour etc,
Touch might be covering their eyes and inviting them to feel different textures or you could use a feely box
Sight could be rainbow colours or even taking photographs
Smell might be an activity such as making perfumes.
All of the above activities will help children's development . The photograph activity will help in developing ICT (computer)skills.
The musical activity will help in developing creative skills in that the children will create their own music.

In fact all of the above activities will develop social and communication skills by the children talking about their experiences in a group situation.

But when thinking of development think SPICE-
Social development
Physical Development
Intellectual development
Creative Development
Emotional Development.
I am sure that any of the activities mentioned above would contribute to all of these areas of development.

This is a bit long-winded but I hope it helps
Ann
