HELP HELP HELP PLEASE !

I have been doing unit 10 cu1532 (promoting equality...

my tutor had sent back my answers and said i need to include these points

Why do we need to empower equality?
Why is it important that individuals are not treated less favourably?

im not sure how to answer these? could someone help me in the right direction pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
