SOS Support Children and Young People During Transitions - PLEASE HELP

Hi!

I have my last assignment and unfortunately my reflective account did not cover this LO: Provide opportunities for children and young people to discuss the effects and results of transition.

Honestly I can not think about what to write and I could not find any useful information in the books, which I have at home.

Thank you for any information/help.

Lucy

Default Support During Transitions

Hi Lucy.

I would suggest a reflective account of some type of key work session or support session with a YP you work with.

This could be a time when a child has shown distress or crisis due to transitioning or displayed challenging behaviour. Have you ever had to help a child calm or overcome a difficult transition? If so, how did you support them afterwards?

As this is a reflective account it is difficult to give specific examples without knowing exactly what you do. How did you help the child to understand the transition and develop coping strategies for it?
