Book Review BR: Where did that baby come from ?

Book reviews for Preschool and Early Years.

Where did that baby come from by Debi Glori

This is a very cute and light hearted book, beautifully illustrated with a short rhyming verse on each double page.

Blurb and first page ..

'Where did that baby come from and can we take it back ?
It wails and squeak and its nappy leaks,
Its an insomniac ' !

Told from an older sibling perspective the opening question of 'Where did that baby come from' begins the rhyme on each new page.

Did it float down from the sky, grow out of a seed, was it bought from a store .. the young story teller doesn't want any more !!

Finally there's tears at bed time and an unexpected cuddle that makes baby laugh - what was said - a peekaboo, or i love you, a kiss dropped on a head ?

The book finishes with the other animal joining in and noting that all their babies must of come from the very same place - planet earth !!

Great book for any story time or if the focus is with rhythm & rhyme.
