Vibrations

Here's a simple activity for measuring vibration. Cover a round tin with clingfilm and secure with a rubber band. Sprinkle brown sugar or rice on top. bang a rolling pin or spoon against a tin tray and watch the sugar/rice 'dance'. The closer you are the more it bounces and the further away, the less. :snaredrum
