Hi, welcome to the site.

Page 2+ of this EYE handbook will help for this.

What does healthy eating mean?

Quote from page 3 The term healthy eating is often used and so it is worth exploring what it actually neans. Healthy eating is about making food choices that will provide the body with what it needs to keep healthy. At a simple level, the human body is a machine that needs nutiernts and energy to keep it going. Nutrients and energy all come from food and drink.

National initiatives that promote healthy eating include

5 a day campaign

Schools fruit and vegetables scheme

Start4Life

Change4Life

Food labelling - traffic light system

Menu guide https://www.gov.uk/government/public...ngs-in-england

To find out what Healthy Eating initiaves are available in your county check your check your LA's website - they might support community food schemes? food growing. You also need to ask your setting what healthy eating initiatives they know of and what they promote in the setting.

Healthy eating frameworks, if you work in England include the information available within EYFS, the Eat Better Start Better - which contains voluntary guidelines

Hope this helps
