Hi a warm welcome to silkysteps.
Page 348 of the level 2 CYPW handbook - on amazon.co.uk explains
medical model of disability as '
a traditional view of disability as a sickness, seeing the disabled person as the problem'
and the social model of disability as
' progressive model recognising that discriminating against disabled people is created by society.
Do you have handouts from your course provider that help you research the difference between the models and that enable you to see how they both impact on being included, a person's rights, autonomy & the ability to move around freely, and meeting individual person's needs?
Best wishes
