Default What are the risks of making a fruit salad with 3-4 year olds?

Hi everyone =), I have to do a cooking activity with the children and have decided to make a fruit salad. For this activty I need to consider the risks and potentail hazrads that could occur when doing this activity. I have already written that the children could hurt themselves with a knife but that is it so far..... please help x

Hi, you could look at why protective clothing might be provided for a cookery session. If there is a hand washing/nose blowing/toileting routine, approach that helps children use knives & cutting positions safely. Others are checking for allergies & sensitivities prior to the activity. Picking up or wiping dropped items that could cause slips & falls - water, juice, fruit pieces.
