Default Breakfast and afterschool clubs

I have just taken on a new role running the breakfast and afterschool clubs and was just wondering if there was anyone on here that currently worked in similar roles or had children attending sessions (my son is now 16 so its been a long time since he went to them) that could give me some tips/advice as to what might work well. I have sooooo many ideas running through my head but need some guidance to keep me on track I think or I might get a bit carried away. I am new to the school in September too so I don't know much about anything at the moment so kind of going in blindfolded .

Thanks everyone
