I used to go to the odd SENCO forum when my manager was the SENCO. When she left the new manager wouldnt be the SENCO so I was only qualified person to take on the role (you have to be Level 3 or above).
I am a senco and lv 2. I get slightly more pence ph than the other lv2 for the added responsibility. Should i be lv3? Who decides? Where can i find out more?
i understood you had to be level 3 or working towards level 3 but with extra special needs courses, qualifications.
it is usually the manager/ supervisor or deputy that holds the senco role
