Number rhymes that promote children's names, numeracy and turn taking, this selection of original sing-song rhymes aim to support children as they get to know each other, take turns at participating and as a way to explore number.

The majority of this rhyming collection utilises the 'along came ..(enter name).'  aspect that helps to instil a sense self and belonging.

Putting 'along came..' rhymes into action ...

Great for circle or group time as a planned activity it's hoped that once the words of a rhyme are familiar, like us you'll find they can spring up spontaneously anywhere children are playing!

Prepare ahead by printing and laminating the required amount of rhyme props.
Present them as wished the bakery sheets & currant buns
Gather interested children into a group and explain the process.
Distribute tokens or coins to willing customers.
Read the first two lines aloud and then on the third, invite a child up to purchase their goods or take one away depending on the rhyme in play.
