fruit tasting and incorporating creativity
I need to do this
support children to recognise value and meet thier health needs (scmp 2 4.1) and also include creativity. Beacuse my time is limited and I only have about 30 mins to do this in im not sure how I can do this. I have spoken to my setting about allergies as I was going to do a fruit tasting and discussing different textures etc. But how can I get the creativity in to this activity? |
you could incorporate it into creative maths - make fruit kebabs using repeated patterns - colours/types of fruit. Or art - colours/textures to represent something in the real world - (carl warner is a good example of how this can be done on a grand scale). they could create a picture - take a photo and then eat the picture!

im really stuck on this question -it needs to be reflective account but question doesnt make much sense - should there be a comma between the words recognise and value? coz i dont know who it would mean to recognise value.

Hi, fruit and vegetables are considered a valuable food group that when eaten as part of a balanced diet help to prevent a range of diseases and other health risks.
Recognising the value involves someone understanding why healthy foods eg. foods that have been examined for sugar, fibre, fat and low salt content are good choices for individuals and how it's possoible to promote that so you can share how you've recognised that value. Best wishes |
