Review and identify the particular issues and implications for your setting when caring for children with speech and language difficulties :banghead:

take a look around your setting and see what issues you may have if a child has speech and language difficulties. Do you have a quiet area where a child can go if it gets to noisy and where they can communicate on a 1 to 1 basis as background noise can distract a child. Do you have key workers a child can feel safe to go to and who can keep a check on progress they are making. Are there enough signs and pictures around so a child can point to to make themselves understood and to help them learn words, are they encouraged to participate in conversations and circle time if not with words but actions to songs etc. If a child has severe difficulties the implications are that they may need specialist help how do you go about this ?
