Plan meals for young children that meet their nutritional needs based on current government guidance and information from carers.

What on earth do I do? It's my LAST question! :banghead:

Hey.

I talked about the five food groups...

• Bread, rice potatoes, pasta and other starchy foods should be offered at each meal time and some snacks, whole grain should be chosen more often.

• Fruit and vegetables should be offered at every meal time and some snack times.

• Milk, cheese and yoghurt

• Meat, fish, eggs and pulses.

• Food and drinks high in fat and sugar should only be given to young children in very small amounts only.

I went into more depth about them but the above should give you a rough idea.

I added additional information of why a balanced diet is important and necessary for children. I also talked about the importance of getting information off parents/carers about their diet, this is vital as some children may have allergies/intolerance to certain foods or drinks. Sometimes parents/carers may have preferences and taking into consideration, the family's religions and beliefs.

Hope it helps.

CYPOP 2 6.2. Explain food allergies and intolerance's that a young child may experience and the importance of following carers instructions on the needs of their child

Hi everyone ive not posted here before i've written something for this questions but i've got writers block and i cant think how to start off with why it is important to follow the carers instructions on the needs of their child. I got it in my head but cant put it into writing.

Thank you
