Hi, you'll need to speak with colleagues in your setting to see if they can arrange a time to help you organise this. If you were given a mentor when starting the course I'm sure they'll be happy to offer you guidance.

Hi, you can contact your course tutor to see if a reflective account would be appropriate? if it is you can recall how you've planned and delivered an activity that the class teacher has witnessed you doing. or, if your course tutor will cover this on their next observational visit before the term is over in which case you've still time to plan the activity, talk to the class teacher about it, implement it in class with the children and then gather the teacher's professional witness statement.

If you are not usually invited to planning meetings, you should ask when this takes place and if you can attend. Long-term planning will be in place well before the shool year begins, with regular planning meetings throughout the term to agree on the detail of the content and delivery strategies, Before each lesson, you should receive a detailed plan of the learning objectives for the activities being undertaken. Long-term planning outlines the scheme of work for each year group across the school year for each statutory and non-statutory curriculum area. It will show units of learning and how these will be sequenced. Medium-term planning usually covers a term or half term. It will include an overview of the subject and learning oputcomes. There will be links to any cross curricular learning. Particularly if taught through a topic, and information on additional activities such as visits or visitors. Short-term planning provides information on the week's lessons, broken down into the activities for each day. The planning will be detailed and include:
Does this reflect what happens in your school? Please feel free to post the criteria as you need to xx Best wishes ![]() |
