Wording an answer... Cache level 3 2.2
2.2 - Show how areas of development work together
I know the answer (well I hope I do) its just wording it correctly without jabbering on. For example - a delay in speech and communications can greatly effect the childs ability to develop socially, the child may miss out on being able to express feelings and struggle emotionally due to this. The lack of being able to be understood by peers and adults can lead to mounting frustrations and have negative effects on behaviour. Any advice on how to expand on this and get my point across would be great Thank you. |
Hi, your explanation reads nicely. But as this is a 'show' criteria is it possible you can use records from the setting that will demonstrate your knowledge of how planned activities support different areas or aspects of children's development?
You may find your assessor is expecting to discuss this with you on their next visit? You can read about holistic development and the interconnected or interdependent nature of development on page 43 of this EYE book (search inside the preview for the word interdependent) or page 230 of this CYPW book which helps show the link with the EYFS (search inside for the word interdependency) Hope this helps xx |
Brilliant thank you. I have my own copy of that book so thanks I can re-read that part, the word interdependant is a great one, I havent used that yet, I need to up my game with the terminology and volcabulary I'm currenting using.
Will be getting a copy of the CYPW too as I cant keep borrowing it. I could use a planning sheet not a problem and then an observation outcome too. You are a star. Thank you. |
