Hi, a warm welcome to the site. Being an assignment this is a larger task.
You will need to have:
This level 3 handbook will be useful. Page 128 looks at the different aspects of why we support welfare and resilience in the setting. To help organise your writing, maybe take the day-to-day practices line by line and compare them to the areas listed? eg. look at how your setting manages: the arrival and departure of children
You can find more information on each of the areas throughout the handbook

Thank you so much for your help! Ive been fine for the most part of the course, its gotten to this point and I have really struggled. Could be to do with the fact im not doing placement at my nursery over the summer holidays whilst they are closed so i am struggling to find any specific policies or procedures.
I can't find any differences between the procedure of a serious case review and a public enquiry? I dont understand the difference or even what they are. Really doubting myself at the moment! xx |
Hi, the Government decides whether a Public Inquiry happens or not whereas Serious Case Reviews are undertaken locally, usually organised by the county's Local Safeguarding Children's Board (where the incident occurred). The Government's Serious Case Review panel advises them about this https://www.gov.uk/government/groups...e-review-panel
Public inquiries investigate issues of serious public concern, scrutinising past decisions and events. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/i...uiry-guidance/ For example The Laming Report, The Birchard Inquiry report A Serious Case Review (SCR) is a locally conducted multi-agency review in circumstances where a child has been abused or neglected, resulting in serious harm or death and there is cause for concern as to the way in which the relevant authority or persons have worked together to safeguard the child. https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidanc...us-case-review https://learning.nspcc.org.uk/case-reviews/ They both look into situations where a child or children have been seriously injured or have died, it's who and how the processes are authorised and they conducted that differs. Hope this helps xx |
