ideas for an activity
help i need to plan and introduce an activity at college that links with theories but my minds gone a blank......i can think of activities but just can't find link with theories:banghead:

I tend to work a bit backwards with this .. what theories do you want to explore/example and then try to pin point them in an activity ?
www.funderstanding.com/about_learning.cfm & www.brookes.ac.uk/services/ocsd/2_learntch/theories.html might help .. |
ok so if i wanted to concentrate on froebel an activity such as model making where the child uses their own imagination to make something? or if you paired them up to use each others ideas then you could say it links with vagotsky aswell because they are socially using others experiences and thoughts? am i on the right track?

I'd say so :D
That would also be a great starting point to discover your own theories on the activities ! Children's Museum - VAM.ac.uk have some good theorist information .. they are very positive statements - the negatives of each aren't explored much as a contrast. Froebel's Biography from edueducation.stateuniversity.com points to these activities as well: Quote:

at the moment i'm not sure which units it links to.....its just something that my tutor asked us to do for college and present it to the class
