deployment of other professionals

Has anyone ever had another professional deployed into there setting to work one to one with a child with extra needs therefore allowing the child to attend the pre-school/playgroup/nursery? If so what sort of professional background were they from?

We should be so lucky!!
We did have a physiotherepist visit the setting for the morning when we had a little one with cerebal palsy. She spent the morning with us and advised us how to adapt our setting the make sure it was inclusive.
It meant moving the layout of the tables to allow assess with her walker, putting more things on the floor, and making sure they could access the toilets. We also had a chair adapted to that we could strap it up and add some extra padding. Overall it was a positive expereince for everyone, the child the staff and especially the other children.
