abit of advise - please....303 - K3c155
:spin:My assessor has asked my to use one of my settings 'code of conduct for adults' policy for this knowledge (Relevant legal requirements covering the way you relate and interact with children)
I have looked through settings policyfolder and found a policy titled Behaviour management and it goes on, amongst other requirements, to include ; -Staff, volunteers, students to provide positive models of behaviour -Treat everyone with friendliness, care and courtesy -Use positive strategies to handle conflict -NEVER use physical punishment or threats of this nature -Do not humiliate or single out individuals -DO not shout at/raise voice in a threatening manner in response to behaviour Does this sound like the sound of thing relevant to the knowledge or can anyone see anything glaringly obvious that isnt included that really should be....?:D |
you could take each of those and find a piece of leglislation to match them with for example the childrens act etc bc your code of conduct thingy is a guide to help you follow legal requirements and it will have been put together using leglislation's such as the childrens act, workers rights, equil oppertunities etc
for example you could say my settings code of conduct says never use physical punishment or threats which is a legal requirement as the law states in the childrens act that...(add quote) hope this helps |
Thanks for your reply, you have given me something to think about. Ta:smile:
