FORMATIVE and SUMMATIVE

right a target child observation can be shared with parents. so anything that is shared is summative and any thing for personal use is formative. am i right????

plaese explain it in your simple words....coz i find the complex languages of the websites a HeAdAcHe!!!

Formative assessment is where we have a profound influence on a child’s development and a summative assessment is where we make a brief statement of the main points. That was a summary of my answer and it never came back as incomplete, maybe someone else has a different view on it. Hope that is of some help
