These are a few ideas I've found buried at the bottom of one of my PC folders ..
Resources for helping transition from Preschool - School
- Add your feeder schools uniform to your dressing up corner.
- Ask if you can issue Book bags and Lunchboxes or other new school equipment before the beginning of the new term.
NB: This may be something your School enjoys responsibility of.
- Find out when local open days, taster sessions and visits are to be held and in return invite the Children's new teacher to your setting for pre arranged story reading & other activities.
- Parents meeting - enjoy a social get together where you can all look at the learning areas of the curriculum.
- Always there: end of term certificates are a nice way to let the Children know how happy you are that they were part of the preschool - and that they always will be.
