Hi a warm welcome to the site. The answers do relate directly to your setting's policy, procedures and daily practices. So you will need evidence of that in order to respond to each of the criteria xx


Level 3 knowledge regarding minimising the spread of infection can be found on pages 39+ & 75-6 of this EYE handbook - on amazon.co.uk which looks at hygiene - physical care routines eg. handwashing food hygiene, protective clothing, dealing with spillages, safe disposal, cleaning and sterilisation. To help prevent secondary infections it also looks at children's mobility & bodily circulation, good ventilation, encouraging children to rest, what their diet is and minimising contact with other people.

Page 106 then examines COSHH and the legislation for health & safety.

At level 4 you'll be in a position to review and implement changes in managerial practices so it's important you speak to your tutor and make sure you're covering the criteria inline with the responsibilities of a higher qualification.
