Default Describe active listening. (K170 K171)

Answer : Active listening is giving somebody your whole attention and thinking about what they are trying to tell you, it is not just hearing. In a busy environment certain jobs like snack time can be done while actively listening to a child. If a child feels at ease and comfortable with you they may begin to talk and share ideas and you can actively listen. If a child is particularly young or they speak a different language you may want to use photographs or other objects to help.

Is there anything else that could be added???

You may also want to add how you actively listen, e.g. nodding, making eye contact, asking relevant questions, repeating back in different words to show you have understood someone else's point, open body language (not folding arms/cross legs during a meeting) shows you are open to the conversation and ideas.
