I know this sounds slightly "stupid" but what do they mean when they ask about PERSONAL development, is it building the children's self esteem and confidence by providing the right material's such as if they feel they arent able to kick a ball then providing them with the right opportunity to build their confidence to kick a ball??

Hi, it depends which context the words are used If the unit relates to children and their learning / development personal is about them as an individual whole.

Alternatively if the term is mentioned in connection with adults professional practice it will relate to YOU, your development, your thoughts, your views, opinion, ways of doing things/practice, your training, areas of expertise, areas you would like to build and expand on.
