Our is:
Free-play in free-flow form
Tidy up
Circle time
Snack time
Outside play
Activities - Usually something creative
Story time
Lunchtime
Freeplay
Tidy up
Snack time
Outside play
free choice (usually this is about 4.30-5pm and we have about 3 children left)

What sort of activities and toys do you provide for free-play and free flow?
How do you encourage children to tidy up that dont?
What sort of activities do you do at activity time?

hi our focused activity is usually creative at the mo we are looking at the hungry caterpillar so the children made butterflies today for home and display but this runs along side the free play this varies from consruction, role play, play-dough, jig saws and computer also if a child asks for a activity out we usually do.
we then tidy ready for story and snack sometimes we use tidy up cards which have a certain area on then or we spilt the children into groups then make a game of which group tidies area first.

Thanks ray.
How many other nurseries use a self-register system? How does it work and what are your opinions of it? (Do you think it works well?)

Can be anything from building/ measuring / sorting with lego,s wooden blocks etc
Threading together in couples
On Friday i taped masking tape to the floor in shapes and played music. When it stopped they had to run into the shape i called out.
We sometimes exercise to a music tape or just dance.
Table top painting is great fun..... throw paint on a table tops and let the kids mess with it with their bare hands. Or it might be a creative activity linked to a topic.
