Think about:

Physical activity (providing opportunities for physical play)
Fresh air and light (natural lighting, good ventilation, going outside for vitamin D)
Diet (providing healthy food)
Temperature (childrens temperature regulation is still developing so we must monitor room temps)
Clothing (should be weather appropriate)
Stimulation (for healthy development, provide opportunities for play, activities and interactions with adults)
Rest and sleep (Lack of sleep can have bad side effects; have dedicated sleeping spaces)
Love and attention (key worker system helps them feel loved and nurtured)
Personal hygiene (teach them to practice good hygiene)

Hope that helps :)
