[quote=Spud;23882]I'm really stuck here, I work with children aged 3-11 so I have no idea with children under 3!
Task Aiii is:
Produce an information document or display to be used in a childcare setting covering the following:
*The care and development needs of babies and children under three
For all age ranges:
*How skin, hair and teeth should be cared for
*Good hygiene practices in a childcare environment and the prevention of cross infection
*How physical care routines are used and adapted to support all children and young people's learning and development
*The importance of nutritionally balanced meals with an example.

In my setting we deal with cross contamination by wearing gloves when dealing with any bodliy fluils such as feaces, urine or vomit we wear an apron when changing nappies. we also have bacteria spray we clan the changing mat with and gel to clean are hands afterwards we use a new set of clean gloves when changing a child. We encourage children to wash their hands before lunch and snack times and when they are toilet trained we ask them to wash their hands.
