:reading: Good morning Lil Emz!

If you look at your standards at the beginning of unit 337 it says:

Evidence-based programmes - structured approaches and strategies for the development of positive behaviour that have shown to work through research.

The CCLD book by Penny Tassoni covers this unit and so does the Candidate Handbook 2nd edition by Miranda Walker.

I hope this helps a little

Hi there

Some of the wording is awful isn't it. Hope this helps a little
K3D694 -situations may be if a child frequently displays challenging behaviour or its ot appropriate for their age or another example may be if a child has been identified in need of specialist help - such as a communication difficulty.
K3D695 - you would monitor behaviour by perhaps implementing a chart to record child's behaviour patterns, when it occurs and the circumstances. This then builds up a picture of the child's behaviour patterns. It is also important to monitor how the behaviour is responded to by adults and children.
K3D696 - if measures taken seem to be working, they can continue until the child reaches their goal or until the behaviour can be managed, if measures are not working new strategies may need to be introduced. Once the child has adopted a new behaviour it may be appropriate then to focus on a new goal.
