Help SOS So Stuck!!

“If a child is interested in trains could it link into (Such and such), she replied yes, you are on the right lines, but you could also link it to (Such and such)

How the hell do I link into the EYFS I have never done it before?!

not sure what you mean by such and such, but if you have a child that is interested in trains and wanted it to be linked to the eyfs ....
If one said that to me i would then brainstorm that idea, you could make a train with that child, by either making one from junk mail, or paint one. that could go on to the conversation of transport and so on.

well you say providing train colouring pages and different media allows the child to develop...(i.e fine motor skills) which supports and is supported by the eyfs which says a child of ...years/months is developing hand control....

doing an activity where the children make a train from boxes ...will build on the childrens social skills as... this links in with the eyfs which says...

hope this gives you some ideas

I wouldnt provide colouring pages, they are not considered as the 'childs own work' but getting the child to draw their own picture etc would.
it would certainly cover cll, kuw, cd.

id say allowing the child to use pencils, fabric, paint, sand, glitter, chalk, sequins etc to "decorate" the colouring page would be their own work bc they are using their own choices and creativity to create the picture..but anyways yeah just pick activities that will intrest the child/ren and say how they relate to the eyfs. you could add a quote which says a child is more likely to learn if they are intrested in what they are learning
