Hi Dawn2015, a very warm welcome to the site & a happy new year to you also. With this criteria being 'demonstrate' you may find it's something your assessor expects to observe you doing in practice when they visit you at work.

To help you understand how you give praise and encouragement think about what you do when you celebrate children's actions and their achievements - when they show curiosity, empathy, resilience, self confidence and independence, are patient, take turns, ask questions and share, this will also include when children mark-make and write.

Do you snarl, frown, growl and grumble?

The level 2 handbook for an introduction to childcare or the Heineman level 2 handbook page 192

Do get in touch with your assessor to check xx

Best wishes
