Help SOS safeguarding legislation link to policies and procedres.

Analyse how current legislation and guidelines for safeguarding inform policy and procedure. You can relate this to your own settings policies and procedures. For this you will need to break the legislations and guidelines down and look at them in detail, describe how they link to and inform your policies and procedures within your work place and in general.

Hi I am just looking for advice on what exactly is being asked of me in this question?
Do I need to quote exerts/sections from the different acts and guidelines that link to my settings own policies and procedures? I am ready to throw my laptop out of the window!

I have been reading the question over and over for weeks now so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
