Hi everyone

Can someone please explain this to me.....Utilise the informal learning opportunities arising from parents’ participation in activities to promote the learning and development of their own child and the setting’s children

Does it just mean write about how i talk to parents infomally about what their child has been doing/how they are developing with the help of the parent?
It's confusing me the more i look at it

All advice greatly appreciated

xx

Hi, think about the times when your parents get involved with activities in the setting - cooking, dance, sending in resources for cultural activities? and the way that the setting then uses these informal opportunities for the benefit of all the children. For example maybe a child brings in a story book from home and the parent tells you how much they're enjoying it at the moment so you decide to read where more children can join in, listen and discuss it.
