Is it about how we should value the child's ideas and interests and encourage child-initiated activities?

If a child is fascinated by dinosaurs, we should try to set up some role-play, art, stories based on the theme. A boy in my care is obsessed with Michael Jackson at the moment and is SO happy when we play his songs and allow him to dance around!!

If we follow through on children's ideas, it may boost their confidence, make them feel more secure and valued within the setting, aid their learning...
