Wide Eyed provide for and promote children's emotional well- being and resilience

hi I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with my final question I keep looking at it and just don't seem to understand it, so if anyone can help i would be very grateful thanks

working as a childcare professional there are many things we can do and provide to promote children's emotional well- being and resilience for each of the points below explain why it is important and how you may do this. Use reflective accounts, where possible.

relating to others

Emotionally safe environment where feelings can be expressed freely

the importance of trust openness and honesty in relationships between practitioners and children

Being able to understand, express and manage their feelings

Emotionally safe environment is somewhere that children feel/are able to - do, tell, talk, discuss. voice ideas, experiences, questions and act without the fear of judgement.
Who is around, what is around - equipment, resources, place.. what are the relationships that exist - keyworker, manager, colleagues, parent other professionals or staff.

Could you perhaps do a RA from an activity or occasion where you've been involved with the Children freely disclosing general or specific information or asking questions that could potentially be judged but was instead discussed openly and honestly so that everyone had an understanding.

Managing feelings can be about how you respond to information given. Positive response will support and reaffirm that the Children are able to discuss things freely. Empathy will help you understand and relate to what the information given is all about ..

Not sure what unit this is from sorry so hope it helps a little

Level 3 NVQ handbook and google preview for unit 305 may help a little more
xx
