Confidentiallity is a tricky one but I said that if a parent would like to see information on their child then we have to oblige them but we need to be carefull if this child has had an issue with child abuse or any other child protection issue. We under law cannot disclose this information to the parent as it could have a detrimental affect on the child. Parents in our setting have to sign forms for us to be able to take photos or disclose information like their work etc on our website. Overall it is vital that we are in communication with the parent at all times so that trust is ongoing. We need parents to communicate to us so that we are aware of any issues with their children.

hope that helps in some way
