Using what you know about inclusive practice, respond to the criteria in a way that shows/demonstrates how each child's needs are met and their interests are supported.
What does your activity planning sheet look like? is there space to include ideas for individual children?
Do you plan activities for each child as their keyperson?
How do you take account of their interests and stage of development so you can plan next steps?
What resources do you have in the setting to make sure children have access to toys, books and games that enable them to explore diversity and culture - can you select dressing up clothes, mealtimes, books about different festivals and celebrations?
c)language used - do you use positive language when talking about culture, faith, belief, do you research words from topics that you're unfamiliar with?
d)cultural awareness - do you ask parents about the events children celebrate at home so that you can share them in the setting? This is one way to raise cultural awareness as you'll discover every family does things differently. From there you can plan ways to share those celebrations so that everyone can learn about them.
d)planning and carrying out physical care routines - how is this managed in your setting? Parents will have specific ways of caring for their child/ren at home and will expect this to be respected in the setting.
